A Good, Good Day

New Milford Pride Green lost yesterday, ending a long winning streak.  Oh well.
Although he had 2 ribbies,  Miles suffered thru a rare 0 for 3 day at bat.  Even more
rare, he had a couple of unfortunate and inopportune plays in the field.  Hmmmm.

Miles was not particularly happy on our way to Aunt Sara's house, but his mood
brightened as he spent some quality time with his almost 2 year old cousin, Ceci.

They entertained each other, nurtured and cared for each other.  All in all, I'd say
Miles didn't necessarily have a great day, but he had a good, good day.

On the field, you can always plan on "getting them next time."
Off the field, you've got your family all of the time.

  3. Jim, I read your thoughtful analysis with great interest; it's balance is striking.I know Miles from the field and wouldn't expect him to verbalize any of this, yet I've seen all of the boys' frustration from time to time, which they haven't learned to conceal (blessedly!). A grandfather's careful observation is numinous to me, so thanks; you've made many days for me!
